Eugène Ciceri studied with his father, the painter, Pierre-Luc-Charles Ciceri, with his uncle, the painter and lithographer, Eugène Isabey. He executed landscapes in Fontainebleau and its surroundings, and in the village of Bourron-Marlotte, where he settled in 1849. He made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1851. The following year, his painting: "View taken on the banks of the Loing", was awarded a second class medal. He executed landscapes of the banks of the Seine, the Marne, the Loing, Barbizon, but also of Normandy and North Africa.
