Old Dogon granary door, Mali. Brought back from Mali in the 1960s. Dating uncertain. Beautiful as a wall decoration (fixing on the back). Presence of different totemic animals such as the snake and the frog (particularly well sculpted). The characters with raised arms represent in the Dogon cosmogony the ancestors and the animals a barrier to access to the harvests. Rare frieze of riders. Very beautiful object, in its original condition and in excellent condition.
Dimensions: 42 x 84 x 7 cm.
