Sarreguemines Obernai dessert service This dessert service from the Sarreguemines earthenware factory, with its Obernai decoration, was produced between the years 1945 and 1967. This decoration is one of the most popular of the Sarreguemines earthenware factory, with its Alsatian style and its illustrations paintings made by Henri Loux, who knew how to capture the essence of traditional Alsatian life. This service consists of a serving dish measuring 27.5 cm in diameter and 29.2 cm at the widest with the handles, for a height of 2.8 cm. The dish illustrates a different scene from the six scenes depicted on the 12 dessert plates. Each of these plates measures 21.7 cm in diameter for a height of 2.2 cm and is decorated with an illustration representing a traditional Alsatian scene of its time. The six different scenes are spread over the 12 plates.
