NAPOLEON III PERIOD CLOISONNE CHANDELIER SIX LIGHTS ALABASTER CUT 19TH CENTURY L1277 This cloisonné chandelier is exceptional in many ways, in fact we find a partitioned part on the top cup, on the cups which allow the embedding of the central alabaster warhead. We find tassels, also enameled, cloisonné. Everything is of great finesse and is reminiscent of the Barbedienne house. The central alabaster arch is original, it has a small rim with floral decoration. Everything is very elegant. Please note, this chandelier has small gaps in enamelling in places. We report friction, wear and dirt on the gilding, wear and small losses on the partitioning of the cups and balls on the top. Note two missing tassels, one on the top crown and one on the bottom crown, the chains need to be readjusted and reattached for some. Note also surface rust on the three rods in the center, friction, scratches on the alabaster, three cracks crossing and chips around the perimeter. Electricity needs to be reviewed for safety reasons. However, this chandelier remains in acceptable general condition.
