The prie-Dieu is a liturgical piece of furniture on which we kneel to pray to God. During the second half of the 19th century and until the start of the 1st World War, artisans and furniture manufacturers offered prie-Dieu for churches.

This model is in solid birch, the straw seat presents changes of tones with red and green, it is fixed and low thus making it possible to kneel on it to pray with the hands resting on the upper part of the backrest which is wide and engraved with the name of its owner with floral motifs.

The condition of this prie-Dieu is very good, the color of the wood is beautiful, only a slight tear on the seat which also remains in excellent condition.
