Jean Alfred Villain-Marais, known as Jean Marais , born December 11, 1913 in Cherbourg (Manche) and died November 8, 1998 in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes), is a French actor. Active in the theater as in the cinema, he was also a director, writer, painter, sculptor, potter and performed most of his stunts. He received an honorary César in 1993. Jean Marais left in Vallauris the dazzling memory of a man of extraordinary kindness, even if his ceramics, produced in collaboration with a potter from Vallauris, Mr. Pasquali, did not convince everyone ...
