19TH C. CARVED WOODEN TRIPTYCH WITH VIRGIN AND CHILD APOSTLE DECORATION H2033 19th century carved wooden triptych with Virgin and Child and Apostles decoration. This triptych is a technical feat, in fact everything was done by hand with great finesse. Perhaps an orthodox work, I'm not sure. In all, each part was sculpted and finely executed by hand, notably admiring the crown on the virgin and the child. We can read under the apostle on the left: MP CEPRIN, the rest is to be identified. Note the inscription behind the memory of the Baroness de Verrières. Missing and slits on the bottom of the main part, scratches. Inscription on the back: Souvenir of the Baroness de Verrières.
