For the base, it is a black marble. We find the signature "FONTINELLE" on the octagonal marble base. Louis Fontinelle (1886-1964) was a potter and ceramist. His hard work, punctuated by setbacks and successes, was marked by the events of the 20th century. Louis Fontinelle moved to Marines in 1927 where he opened his third ceramic workshop, the one through which he would go down in history.
