This insect brooch is in fact a clip and as its name suggests, it clips onto clothing and has the advantage of damaging it less than a brooch. This system was very popular in the 1930s. This brooch is made of bakelite set with small Marcassites. There is a small lack of gilding visible in the photos. The steel of the system is slightly oxidized. This is also visible in the photos, dimensions approximately 4 cm by 3.5 cm.
