BRONZE HEAD BY GEORGES RAOUL GARREAU REPRESENTING AN IROQUOIS 1930 H4058This bronze head was made by Georges-Raoul Garreau. It bears his signature and the marking "genuine bronze". Georges-Raoul Garreau is an artist best known for his late 19th century and first half 20th century animal bronzes. The work is beautifully crafted, moreover it represents a typical subject of the 1930s, the face is very expressive, the patina is green, the base is in black marble. This bronze head is in an excellent state of preservation, however we would like to point out four small holes on the front of the base which must have had a plaque on it, minimal égreneurs on the marble, nothing unacceptable, a small friction on the eyelid.
