They are bronze with black patina. You will notice highlights of gilding on the earrings. Bastet was the daughter of the sun god Ra, wife of Ptah and mother of the lion god Miysis. She was the benevolent goddess of the hearth and the domestic cat, although she sometimes took on the warrior aspect of a lioness of the dangerous goddesses.
