Le CORBUSIER B9 armchair by Kohn in light walnut circa 1915 (no Thonet) Perforated and screen-printed seat, Kohn armchair known as “B9”, or “Le Corbusier”… When it was created, it was classified as an office armchair (n°712 at Kohn from 1898, then No. 9/109 at Thonet from 1904), it became a great classic of bentwood furniture and a “universal” seat manufactured by all manufacturers in Europe. It was when Le Corbusier rediscovered him in 1920 that he took that of the architect as his usual name. Here we have a patina under shellac in “beech-natural” color.
