The Belgian army was subdivided into six "army divisions" (the equivalent of infantry divisions in other armies), supplemented by a cavalry division. Each division consisted of three mixed brigades, a cavalry regiment, an artillery regiment and various transport units.

Superb Belgian non-commissioned officer troop sabre copied from the French model M1845. Chromed steel handle with grooves. The blade is still beautiful, shiny, some traces due to time, in its own juice. Very beautiful scabbard with a ring and bronze fittings. Blade marked: '' HD 1874 '', '' 791 R '' + '' R 1 ''. Saber quite simply unique and unobtainable in this condition and also complete. A similar copy is visible in the Royal Army Museum in Brussels, very rare !!!
