Description

A SET OF 2 Antique French Earthenware Deep Plates from the Early 1800s Terre de Pipe

These plates have a bit of depth.

It's a classy hand decor with brown and black.
Set of 2 plates!

I think this is fine French earthenware but influenced by Wedgwood.

You can see what appears to be the decorator's signature at the time of painting on the back but no Manufacture stamp on the back.

It is made from a lighter clay used for pipe pottery, called Terre de Pipe, which was quarried in the north of Paris.

It lacks strength, so it is not suitable for objects with temperature differences or liquids.

Even if you use it, only do so occasionally for dry goods.

Avoid soaking, microwaving and dishwasher.
For your collection!
