3 RECONSTITUTED STONE SCULPTURES VIRGIN AND CHILD XXTH ATELIER ART MARTIN M828 These three sculptures are in reconstituted stone, the representation of Saint Anne bears the label of the Ateliers d'Art Martin in Rennes specialized in religious and Celtic sculptures, for the other two not markings or labels but it is possible that they also come from this workshop without certainty. L'Atelier, originally Albert Martin, sculptor, founded the company in 1964. Inspired by Celtic and Christian culture, he created statues, capitals, bas reliefs, sundials, nativities, Veronique Rachel Martinsculptor emotions, directs the destinies of the workshop for more than 30 years. The models are based on a repository or faithful historical research. Finding roots and origins through the object is the very essence of the Art workshop. Reflection and creation around matter and symbolism are our main concern. Going to the sources to find inspiration, researching and expressing the symbols that cross time and speak to each of their history is our vocation. The material The material recreated by geopolymerization is material to touch: this mineral recomposed following an ancestral process, reassures and brings us back to the origin of the world. The original is modeled in clay, wax or sculpted in plaster. From the original, unique piece, we make a mold that will ensure its perfect reproduction. From this exclusive Breton mineral complex, after two to three weeks and nine interventions entirely carried out by hand, the object appears, molded, chiseled, partly sculpted, made up, identical and different, since the spirit of man inspired, his heart guided him and his hand molded him. Object felt, object chosen, it becomes a symbol of sharing the values that make up our history.
