20TH C. SCULPTED WOODEN HUNTING DECORATED WITH POLYCHROME MEDIEVAL CHARACTERS A 4005 This panel was probably carved from solid oak. It is a 20th century creation representing a hunt, you can see medieval figures with spears and pikes killing what appears to be a unicorn, dogs also biting the animal. It is a cover of a subject probably from the Renaissance, a very pretty polychromy, note the slits of friction, a work carried out before the Second World War.
