Alphonse Mouton comes from a family of potters, he works in Saint-Vallier (Drôme) in the south-east of France from the 1930s to the 1980s.
Saint-Uze, Ponsas and Saint-Vallier in the department of Drôme (26), form the golden triangle of the production of "fired porcelain" from Saint-Uze. famous and sought-after items with beautiful shapes...
He uses a series of recognizable enamels in colors ranging from dark blue, green to beige. His early works are reminiscent of the Art Deco period.
